Nico Lioce

Nico Lioce (°1969) studied Romance Philology and Linguistics at the (State) University of Ghent (grad. 1991) and at KU Leuven. In addition to a full-time career in (adult) education, successively as a teacher and at the management level, he pursued his research interests, which mainly involve the history of linguistics and (the history of) foreign language teaching, and which led to some 30 (national and international) publications. Since the fall of 2020 he explores grammatical and didactic modelization, and their interrelations, in early Romance grammaticography (Middle Ages and 16th century) (sup. Prof. Pierre Swiggers & Prof. Piet Desmet).
