Alfons Wouters

Alfons Wouters (°1944) is professor emeritus of the KU Leuven where, from 1978 to 2009, he taught Greek Linguistics and Greek Literature. He also lectured at the University of Antwerp (1974-1979) and was guest professor at the University of Groningen (1989-1990) and at the École Normale Supérieure in Paris (1996-1997). His research primarily concerns the origin and development of grammatical theory and grammatical description in ancient Greece and Rome.
